It’s All about Ho’ololi
Aloha kākou! With only two months before the big day, I wanted to take the time out to go more in detail about what the show will include.
There are three different tiers of General Admission tickets: Lōʻihi, Kīlauea, and Kohala. All ticket tiers are named for the mountain ranges and volcanoes of my home island, Moku o Keawe.
Each ticket will come with a welcome drink and pupus, as well as the opportunity to tour the Hawaii Hall exhibit following the runway show where I will also have each design on display for an even closer look.
For Lōʻihi, seating will be in the general admission section, Kīlauea will be seated closer to the front, and finally, Kohala will be seated in the VIP section.
Guests who purchase a Kohala ticket will also be given a swag bag that will feature wellness products from local small businesses.
Regardless of ticket tier, I will be floating around the event and welcome you all to chat with me and ask me anything about the collection, the inspiration, the brand, and everything in between.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank my incredible event planner Zabrina and her team at The Gay Agenda Co., as without them, this event would have never taken place. Here is a little bit about The Gay Agenda Co.:
The Gay Agenda Collective (also known as TGA) is a Queer, Kanaka-owned and wahine operated wedding & event planning business in Hawaiʻi. Although gay weddings became legal in 2015, there is still a lack of representation for LGBTQ+ couples in the wedding and event industry.
TGA was formed out of a personal experience that Zabrina (our owner) had while planning her own wedding. In the midst of planning, Zabs still faced vendors misgendering her and her partner, having to come out to all their vendors, being the token queer couple for vendor portfolios, and even worse—vendors saying that they wouldnʻt work with them. We decided, enough was enough!
TGA specializes in creating space for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in the wedding and event industry through thoughtful planning, so that they feel included, represented, and celebrated. Our hope is that no couple will ever experience a lack of love on their wedding day, while creating space for all couples.
We are a full-service wedding and event planning company assisting clients wherever they are in the planning process. We also offer allyship and inclusivity training for event professionals to create a more inclusive industry built on diversity and equity. The Gay Agenda Collective is owned and operated by and all LGBTQIA+ Wahine staff. Itʻs special for Zabrina to work with her now wife, Ipolani, to bring their community membersʻ events to life! It is the priority of our entire team to ensure your day runs smoothly while having fun!
